‘My Company Is Ready To Refund 12 Million NYS Money’ Mutahi Ngunyi Now Claims

Mutahi Ngunyi has added another twist in the unending NYS saga.

The political analyst has written to the Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Public Service, Gender and Youth stating that his company Consulting House was ready to refund any of the money said to have been overpaid to them. This he said will happen after an audit done internally at the firm to determine if the NYS paid the company an excess of 12,500,000 KES.

According to the letter by Mutahi Ngunyi, should this be the case the company will ensure a speedy refund of the excess payment to the treasury. The company also wanted the CS in the event of the refund to find out who was responsible for the excess payment as they allege it could be out of malice in an effort to resist the proposed restructuring process.

According to Mutahi Ngunyi’s letter this action comes in the wake of the revelation by the Auditor General which has been circulated in various local and international media and has the potential of bringing the firm’s image into disrepute in the 18 countries it is operating in.

Mutahi Ngunyi has however been called out for his hypocrisy as people question why he had to wait days after the Auditor General had made the report for his company to respond. To many, Mutahi’s firm could easily have known if they had been paid in excess for services rendered.

Here is the letter by Mutahi Ngunyi
