The Hustle Is Real! Nairobians Left Shocked By The Sight Of Japanese Hawker On The Streets Selling Japanese Rice Balls (Photo)

The Chinese are known for their industrious and entrepreneurial nous. Their interaction with Kenyans has been with much suspicion and recently loathe.

They have been accused of being stingy, and hardly tip their attendants. A couple of their establishments have been accused of racism and when this is added to their attempt at hawking and the number of illegal immigrants, many Kenyans can hardly be surprised if they saw one selling wares in the street. However, for a Japanese to do so it is quite something different.

The Japanese visitors in the country and residents are either missionaries, students on a foreign exchange or tourists and are quite generous and interested with the locals.

It was thus a shock to a number of city residents when they came upon a Japanese young man selling Japanese rice balls onigiri on the street. Not pretty fluent with the local language he was selling them for 100/- but bewildered bystanders could only stare at him.

Here is the photo of the man
