Uhuru And Ruto Get A Taste Of Real Rural Life As Uhuru Spends A Day In Nyumba Ya Matope and Ruto Gets Served Ugali Saucer In A Local Kiosk (Photos)

Last weekend, the President and his deputy went to their respective political backyards and interacted with the rural folk at their levels.

Perhaps bothered by the city’s fracas, the two went to unwind with the common man in unusual surroundings and seem to have loved the experience though it was different from one another. The president went to Kiambu to inspect the ‘Last Mile Connectivity Project’ and ended up visiting homes that had been set up with electricity.

On the other hand, the DP had his Sunday lunch in Maili Tisa Uasin Gishu County in a grass thatched restaurant. He had a meal of chicken with Ugali seated on a wooden bench and served with cracked plates. The two seemed at home in their surroundings and earned both praise and ridicule for their efforts.
