The effects of alcohol are well documented and can have lasting and deplorable effects.
In some cases they take on a dramatic turn ending up shaming the individual and those close to him. This was the case of one Joseph Wycliffe Rotich who at the time of his moment of infamy was a chief of Mawingu in Nakuru County. He was drunk yet still attended a rally shouting as he was drunk before going ahead to declare himself the most drunken chief in the region regardless of the President led fight against illicit brew.
A sack swiftly followed but luckily for him, NACADA empathized with his condition. He was taken in for rehabilitation and now 53 days he says he has healed and is sorry for his actions and now wants back his job.
“I would like to ask for forgiveness because I was seen misbehaving in that video. I was addicted and I believe addiction is a sickness of which I am healed today,” he said
He has truly changed spotting a nice neat suit and drinking only water and very much sober. Here is his new look.
