Moving Video Of 7 Months Old Toddler Rescued From The Collapsed Huruma Building (Video)

The tragic collapse of a building in Nairobi’s Huruma has been the image of the wreckage the ongoing rains have caused and continue to cause.

Crucially however, it has been a damning indictment of the corrupt and unscrupulous deals between greedy real estate proprietors and county chiefs that see insecure and unfitting buildings being allowed to be used as residences by unsuspecting tenants.

However, with all the rage and agony, good news continues to filter through and none more moving than the rescue of a seven months old baby girl from the rubble of the building a couple of days after it fell.

The young girl was rescued at 5am this morning as part of the ongoing rescue efforts and has been admitted at KNH but she is in good condition. Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko shared the video as he sought the whereabouts of the parents. He also promised to give an update of another 5 year old child who was rescued.
