Shock As It Is Found Girls In Kisumu Sell Sex For 10/-
A report released by Amnesty International has indicates a troubling trend down at the lakeside.
It points a sad fate of the young and vulnerable girls who to obtain their basic survival resort to engaging in sex for as little as 10/-. The women on their own end trade sex for fish to fend for their families.
The report showed that young girls suffer as a result of poverty, ignorance of laws and culture. The affected families and the victims instead of seeking justice turn to ‘local arrangements’ to protect reputations of the perpetrators.
Despite several attempts to curb the menace and the prevalence of HIV/AIDS the region still struggles as a result of such practices and now young girls are becoming the victims.
