The Shocking State Of Kakamega General Hospital Where Clients Sleep On Carton Boxes (Photos)

Devolution was aimed to have brought improved services closer to the public but then this has not turned out to be the case.

It has become a case of disappointment with evils and problems associated with a centralized system instead coming down to the counties. The recent case is the dilapidated condition of Kakamega General Hospital the largest hospital serving the second most populous county in Kenya.

A visit by Kakamega County’s first lady Priscilla Oparanya revealed dire conditions with patients lying on carton boxes, rusty beds, and still lacking drugs and medical personnel.
