Has UON Become A Den Of Thugs And Drug Dealers? This Evidence Will Shock You

The University of Nairobi students maybe at home but that has not stopped a section of them from making news even from home.

For long it has been known that some of the dangerous criminals in the city reside at the campus and are students there. While in the past raids have been conducted at the campus, it has been long since an operation led by a joint police force has been conducted at a campus premises and unearthed shocking evidence at just how deep some of the students may be involved in city crime.

The police force comprising of Special Crimes Prevention Unit, Flying squad and the Anti-Narcotic units found 25kgs of bhang, nine pangas and bloodstained knives while also balaclavas, police boots, an officer’s sweater, watchmen’s uniforms, a money-making machine and several fake notes.

The 8 hour operation was meant to nab the suspects but apparently they were tipped off by the university’s security officials. The operation comes at a time when NACADA’s Chairman John Mututho had claimed that the UON had become a den or drug dealers protected by the police.
