Here Is The Blood-Chilling Video Of GSU Officers Savagely Thrashing UON Students (Video)
UON students have been holding demonstrations protesting over the just concluded SONU elections.
For two days they have been engaging police in running battles and the sheer force with which the police are using to curb the situation is just overwhelming and brutal. Many innocent students have been injured and maimed as the GSU officers went into the halls and hostels. There have actually been reports of female students being sexually assaulted.
However, yesterday brought out the horror of just how the police force is reckless and brutal in its use of force to quell the demonstrations. A number of students were cornered at one section and made to lie down. Even after this act of surrender, the GSU officers then descended on them with rungus and sticks whipping them just about anywhere despite the continuous pleas for mercy.
The horrific event was caught on camera for what makes a shocking viewing. Here is the video which has had many people calling for the police to be held responsible…
WHO gave General Service Unit officers the right to beat University students in this way? Babu Owino, VC Mbithi or Nairobi County commander? Is this the right way to handle a public demonstration? Who made GSU the judge in any court? Is this the police we are still having? The commander of this team of officers should be immediately arrested and charged with abuse of human rights
