21 year old American Missionary from Oklahom Matthew Lane Durham has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Mathew was found guilty of molesting and sodomizing a number of Kenyan orphan boys at an orphanage he was working as a volunteers. He was also ordered to pay a restitution fee of $15, 863 to the victims. Matthew’s four victims were aged between 5-14 years and he had used force and threats to rape them and some repeatedly in a span of just 33 days the court was told.

While he showed no emotion during the sentencing, he asked for mercy saying ‘all I wanted was to follow God’s plan for me”. He was 19 at the time back in 2014 while volunteering at the Upendo Children’s home in Nairobi.
