Moses Kuria has been quite quiet by his owl loud standards off late. This may have something to do with the number of times his utterances have found him on the wrong side of a court room and the frequent number of statements and apologies he has to issue.

It also could be a result of the financial strain court battles are exerting on him. Yesterday the MP woke up to a rude shock when the court decided his repeated remarks despite already facing hate speech charges warranted heftier bond and bail charges.

While previously he was on a bond of 5 million and a cash bail of 1 million, when the DPP’s applied for a cancellation of his bond tersm, the court decided to raise it instead.

His bond was raised to 5 million while the cash bail rose to 3 million. He was also given quite a small window frame of just seven days to raise the amount. I guess you will not be hearing the MP speaking out everytime for quite a while.
