These Shameless Police Officers Busted By Uhuru Taking Bribes Have Been Sacked

Last week while in Mombasa Uhuru Kenyatta witnessed an incident many Kenyans witness daily, traffic cops taking a bribe. This was along the Makupa Causeway.

They had stopped a matatu and were seen taking bribes and stopping traffic of which the president’s motorcade was part off. Unlucky to the officers, the president and his security detail saw them and they were arrested and bundled in the security detail’s car and were taken to Makupa where they were held for three days.

The arrested cops are Constable Joel Atuti and corporal Barnaba Rutto.The two officers have now been dismissed from the police service for bribery and blocking the presidential motorcade.

The president made the claims when he was at a function of the National Police Service saying;

“Juzi nilikuwa Mombasa… jameni mtu amesimamisha gari katikati (ya barabara), akichukua pesa kutoka kwa abiria.Sasa jameni, wale ambao wote including myself, ambao tulikuwa nyuma tunaona mtu akiokota pesa, unafikiria mtu atafikiria namna gani? Eh? Tuambiane ukweli! Eh!
