Strategy Or Backwardnes? This Is Why DP President Ruto Wants Kalenjins To Move To Nairobi

It is back to election season and you can tell it by the ruckus, empty rhetoric and madness of the politicians.

The disease seems not to be an exception of the lower class of the politicians, but the top echelons too. In a rally in Kericho county, the Deputy President William Ruto asked the Kalenjin community to move to Nairobi and register as voters there in order to increase the chances of getting an MP in Nairobi.

The DP asked the audience to quit tethering with cattle and move to the capital where there is wealth. While it may have seemed to the DP as a sound strategy, it actually beats the whole aim of devolution and is pretty much the epitome of backward thinking.
