‘Deeper Sounds Of Nairobi LIVE’ leaves many talking after their lit event, checkout how everyone got down!
After 5 years of running “Deeper Sounds of Nairobi” a successful podcast hosted on itunes, Jack Rooster and some of his friends thought it would be great to have a live gathering for all to come and enjoy the Deeper Sounds Of Nairobi together.
This inaugural event dubbed “Deeper Sounds Of Nairobi LIVE” featured sounds from Knord, Yellow Light Machine, Inami, DJVidza, MosehDrumist, Solvation and Jack Rooster performed in front of an audience of over 650 strong.
Knord warmed up the evening with his smooth and soulful House tunes up until. DJ Vidza took over and started filling up the dance floor with her groovy Afro House mix while Lindsay got busy painting the faces of willing participant.
As the crowd grew larger,Jack Rooster took charge of the controls, accompanied by Moseh Drumist, Dancers and the lovely vocals of Mo and Kijo (both from Yellow Light Machine),the night was well on its way to epic!
Jack Rooster’s set comprised of a mix of live elements ranging from percussion to live vocals. At the strike of Midnight,Kenyan House Music songstress, Inami took the stage, the dance floor got even more packed as she belted note after note while Jack Rooster spun and effected the instrumental in the background.Jack then leading the crowd into a journey of progressive house and old school hiphop culminating in a mad frenzy of Afro-House with Moseh in accompaniment.
Solvation was then at hand to close the night off with a well curated blend of Deep African House designed to take the listener on a journey. With industry leading production from renowned Homeboyz and the unmatched hospitality of the Alchemist this first edition of Deeper Sounds Of Nairobi proved to be quite the success.
