This month, left-handed people all over the world celebrated a day set aside for around 10% of the world’s population; the Left-Handed People’s day on August 13th.
Back in the day, left-handedness was not celebrated. In fact, it was wrongfully associated with evil spirits, immorality and unlawful activity but now left-handed people are recognized for their ‘superior spatial skills, mental flexibility, and working memory.’
It is also said that left-handed people are better at sports that do not strictly require the use of the right-hand such as boxing and fencing.
