Binyavanga Wainaina’s Nigerian Counterpart Calls Him A ‘Silly Child’ Before Spilling the Dirt on the Respected Author in a Fiery Twitter Beef

Nothing escalates quite like a war of words on Twitter and today Binyavanga Wainaina and Nigeria’s El Nathan John had  people bringing out their cups for some of the tea.

“I will not forgive El Nathan John. What he did was cowardly, small minded, and deliberate. He `did it because it would make him a celebrity.”Binyavanga fired the first salvo at 10:42 a.m this morning.

It was swiftly followed by a series of Tweets that included him accusing Nathan of bringing Chimamanda down.

 

Less than an hour later, ElNathan shot back with a series of tweets.“What did he do to you people kept asking? I f**ked with his friend he said. What a silly child” Elnathan tweeted indicating there was more to this heated tweef than met the eye.

Elnathan confirmed it with “I wish the hatred @BinyavangaW had for me was about literature. We could have been writing great disses. But no. Gutter moves.”

He then accused Binyavanga of being a literary hit-man.

“The one reason why @BinyavangaW is upset is because they put out a literary hit on me. And it failed. Woefully. He even admitted it. “You people thought you could block my work.” I said “I blocked you, not your work,” @BinyavangaW corrected, admitting the sabotage.
