5 Things You Need To Know About the Gay Pride Event That Alvin Kabogo Was Spotted Partying In (Photos)

It looks like the party was super-lit!

Over the weekend, Alvin Kabogo was spotted having tons of fun and getting sloshed at the Brighton Pride Parade in the city of Brighton and Hove, England.

These pictures have caused a lot of excitement among Kenyans and people are still buzzing about it, 5 days later.So we decided to dig up a few things about the event, and this is what we found out:

1. The Brighton Pride is one of the biggest gay pride events in the world and this year was the biggest in its 44 year history. This year saw a huge number of 300,000 people attending the pride party.

2. Its an annual event organized by the Brighton Pride, a community interest company (CIC) who promote equality and diversity, and advance education to eliminate discrimination against the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

3. It goes down in the first weekend of August every year.

4. One of the main aims of this pride event is to show support for the LGBT communities worldwide especially those who are not able to fully exercise their rights as homosexuality is criminalized in their countries. Or they have been victims of a homophobic attack such as the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting.

5. It is estimated that the whole event contributes about  £18 million(2 Billion Kshs) to the economy of the Brighton and Hove City.
