Janet Mbugua, Joyce Lay and Esther Passaris among Others Visit the Lady Who Had Her Hands Chopped Off By Her Husband As a Multi-National Offers Her New Prosthetic Hands

Stephen Ngila Thenge has been described as a ‘very good guy’ by people in his Kathama home area, but what he did to his wife Jackline Mwende was extremely evil and horrifying.

Stephen, a tailor from Machakos County attempted to kill his wife but ended up chopping her hands, slashing he face and knocking out her teeth because she could not conceive. While in actual fact he was the one who had a disorder that was rectifiable but he shunned treatment.

So after separating for 3 months, he decided to kill her; a story that has shocked the whole country.

On learning of Mwende’s plight, a few influential women including Janet Mbugua, Esther Passaris, Zawadi Nyong’o and Joyce Lay have gone to see the ailing young lady.

In addition, Mwende will be receiving new limbs from LG as Nation reports. “We are willing to support her with prosthetic limbs and take care of her transport from her home to the hospital, admission and treatment. The procedure will be carried out at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital.” LG said through their marketing manager Moses Marji while the Bangladeshi High Commission in Kenya pledged medicine for Mwende, a job and a loan once she gets better.
