What You Saw at JKIA was Just a Tip of the Iceberg, Here Are Other Incidents of Koffi Olomide Getting Very Violent. He Was Even Accused Of Rape at Some Point

The video of Koffi Olomide hitting one of his dancers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport was very outrageous, but we shouldn’t be surprised.

This is because this is not the first time Koffi has been accused of violence. Here are some incidents:

1. Koffi Kicks Journalist

In 2013, he was accused of kicking a journalist in the face after the said journalists attempted to take a photo of him at Lusaka’s Taj Pamodzi in Zambia. “He kicked me in the face and my flesh got damaged. They were a lot of people and they saw what happened.”the journalist called Jean Ndayisenga ‘Mandela’ revealed.

He later reported Koffi for assault at Kabwata police station but it is still unclear if any action was taken.

2. He Slaps Dancer

It is reported after he kicked the journalist he later turned and slapped one of his dancers who fell to the ground. A Security guard revealed that the lady was beaten once again in the hotel room but never pressed charges.

3. Alleged Rape of Dancers and Illegal Confinement

In 2012, Koffi was charged by a French court with 3 counts of rape and illegal confinement after 3 of his former back-up dancers reported him. As Daily Nation reported, one of the 3 complaints were filed in 2006 while the other two filed their complaints in 2008.

What makes matters worse is that one of the dancers was said to have been under age at the time of the assault. Following these accusations, Koffi denied the charges before fleeing to the DRC before awaiting the ruling.

4. Koffi Beats Up Producer Over 3.5 Million Dollars

The Rumba Maestro was given a three-month suspended prison sentence after he fought with one of his producers Diego Lubaki at a hotel room in Kinshasa.

Olomide had dealt with the producer after he allegedly failed to produce a video Koffi had paid over 3.5 Million Dollars for.

The producer was willing to drop the charges for the sake of ‘social peace and peace between him and Koffi’ but the judge would hear none of it.

He was convicted of assault and battery but released of malicious destruction after he destroyed the hotel door in the confrontation.
