In Pictures: Stressed Out Kenyans Mill Outside Kenyan Embassy In South Sudan Desperate To Be Evacuated From The War-ravaged Country
The conflict in South Sudan has left Kenyans living in that war-torn country in an awkward position trying to get back home by all means.
Over 272 people were killed in South Sudan since renewed fighting broke out in Juba between forces loyal to President Salva Kiir and first Vice President Riek Machar last week.
Even though relative calm has since returned, Kenyans living in South Sudan are desperate to get out of the world’s youngest country.
The Kenyan government started an evacuation program to get Kenyans out of South Sudan but has since stopped noting that Juba is keen to restore peace.
Kenyans who are still in Juba have been gathering at the Kenyan Embassy in South Sudan for fear of renewed conflict.
