Uhuru Kenyatta’s Domain Name Is Being Sold For 1 Million Kshs. Did Itumbi And Company Sleep On Their Job? (Screenshots)
Uhuru Kenyatta’s domain name www.uhuru.co.ke is up for sale for a whole 1 million shillings.
The domain name has been up for bidding for about three months. Given how important Uhuru Kenyatta’s website was in the run up to 2013 general elections, it is quite a surprise how the domain name would be done away with quite so easily.
The president may now be using the president.go.ke but that is a more official site more like a government resource while the former was personal and it even had his biography and other campaign briefs.
A more likely scenario is that the handlers in this case PSCU forgot to renew the domain and an opportunist bought it and is now reselling hoping to make quite a kill. Logging on to the site now one is met with the following message;

The asking price has been placed at 9953 Euros which translates to upwards of 1.1 million shillings
