Stinking Rich Nairobi Tycoon Michael Njeru To Be Arrested Upon Returning Home From Mozambique
Nairobi Principal Magistrate Daniel Ole Keiwa has ordered that Transcend Media Group owner Michael Njeru be arrested once he returns home from his trip in Maputo, Mozambique.
Mr. Njeru defied court orders barring him from travelling outside the country. The Nairobi tycoon has been locked in a divorce battle with his wife Anne Evelyn Wambui.
Wambui accuses him of battering her and locking her out of their matrimonial home in Lavington . The two had been married for 21 years before they separated.
Wambui cited assault and infidelity as some of the reasons why she wanted her marriage to the businessman to be annulled.
What made this case attract the attention of Kenyans are the demands by Wambui. She wants her embattled ex husband to pay her Kes 1.3 million as upkeep every month and a further Kes 3.3 million as school fee for their children.
As if that’s not enough, Wambui wants Kes 10 million as insurance cover plus a court order restricting Michael Njeru from accessing their home.
To make sure her husband doesn’t do anything ‘nasty’, Wambu asked the court to freeze Mr. Njeru’s firearm license saying she feared her ex hubby could cause harm to her and her children. And the court ruled in her favor on his request.
