No Special Grave For Lucy Kibaki! Ex First Lady Buried In A Typical Traditional African Grave (Photos)

Kenyans expected Mama Lucy Kibaki’s grave to be decorated with ultra expensive ceramics tiles but that was not the case, she was buried in a simple traditional African grave!

Mourners last Saturday assembled at Othaya Approved School for the funeral service of the late Mama Lucy Kibaki.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete, were some of the high profile guests who were in attendance.

After the service at Othaya Approved School, the body of Mama Lucy Kibaki was taken for private burial at Kibaki’s Kanyange home where the media was not allowed in.

Photos were however taken at the burial by different entities e.g. Presidential Press Service and shared for the public to see.

Her grave was not cemented like many would have imagined though, the former First Lady was buried in a typical traditional African grave which was filled with soil to the brim.
