Mama Lucy Kibaki was finally laid to rest on Saturday at her Othaya home. The event was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete, among other dignitaries.

You understand the tight security in places where the head of state visits, this was the case in Othaya during the burial of the former First Lady.

Security officers THOROUGHLY frisked common citizens who turned up to bid Lucy Kibaki the final goodbye.

You would think political commentator and activist Miguna Miguna would be accorded some respect and spared the humiliation of undressing and getting his balls touched by stone-faced security officers, but wapi!

Miguna Miguna was ordered to remove his belt and other personal belongings from his pockets, spread his legs wide apart and to stretch his hands, as he was subjected to a thorough body inspection.

But the ‘common raia’ frisking didn’t dampen his spirit, Miguna Miguna could be seen smiling after he was allowed in.
