The brutal and shocking killing of outspoken Nairobi based tycoon and social media big wig has set the nation in quite a stir.

The manner and style in which it was conducted has resulted in many rumors resulting and theories matters which have not been helped by the premonition posts he had done foreshadowing his death.

More than that it points to a growing gangland, mafia like culture where the people are killed in a daring manner mostly shot multiple times and no one ever bothers about the killers. Below are some of recent shocking murderers that remain unsolved with people merely alluding on the probable cases

George Muchai

The late Kabete Mp was murdered in one of the most shocking ways. He has his security with him and had just been in a meeting with his family. It was in the morning but all this counted for nothing. His security and he himself were killed by a hail of bullets by killers said to have trailed him all the way through a restaurant to the point of murder. Many theories from business deals, land deals and his COTU associations were put forth as explaining where he could have gotten enemies. Six people were arrested and charged with the murder but too many it remains an unresolved matter.

Stephen Odongo Mukabana

The ODM Youth leader’s murder is the most recent in the list happening only last month. Mukabana was killed at the gate of the court in which he lived to be opened. He was attacked by six men at Alpha Court, Chokaa in Ruai. One of the gang members was armed with a pistol and he was shot in the head and stomach in cold blood. The gang took his wallet but left the Prado he had. Aside from being a politician, he was also a member of a land buying company Bamaho Youth Group.

The Kihiu Mwiru Land Buying Company Murders

Two years, 6 dead directors, 1,285 acres of land and a 6,200 strong member company. These are just some of the figures that pop out of the strange shocking and chilling murders that encumbered Kihiu Mwiru Land Buying Company in Murang’a South. Six directors have been killed and four others have disappeared and their whereabouts remain unknown. Add this to the number of abductions subjected to the company directors’ families and you have a story fit for a thriller but a real life happening in Murang’a and Kiambu and where no one is yet to be arrested or prosecuted.

Rogo

Sheikh Aboud Rogo was a marked man from the UN Security Council to other foreign and local security agencies. His death however, was no less shocking. He was shot multiple times to death while travelling with his family. His successor Ibrahim Rogo would also be killed in almost similar ways while travelling.

Shahid Bhutt

A billionaire whose known assets amounted to some 5b shillings, he was prominently known as the owner of Modern Coast Buses. His death would come when he was driving from the Mombasa Airport having picked his 30 year old son. A car with five occupants blocked his path and he was shot dead by two attackers who had alighted and fired from close range.

Mohammed Idris

At the time of his death, Mohammed Idris was the Chairman of Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya. His death was a shocker since unlike other Muslim leaders shot, he was not termed or viewed as radical instead he was among the Muslim leaders who were calling for the cessation of the radical preaching. His death was seen as a revenge mission by some of the radical elements at his mosque. The murder like all the rest remains unsolved.
