Westlands, Karen, Runda and Muthaiga cross everybody’s mind when affluent estates are mentioned. But these residential areas are not the most expensive in Nairobi.
A survey conducted by Cytonn, a real estate and investment firm, has classified Nairobi’s most expensive estates in terms of rents paid per individual hood.
If you intent to live in Kitisuru, Karen, Muthaiga, Riverside, Runda, Ridgeways, Spring Valley or Westlands, then make sure your monthly income is between Kes 300,000 to Kes 1 million because this is the range of rent house owners charge clients in these estates.

Rosslyn and Nyari tenants make more than Kes 1 million a month to afford the rent in the two ridiculously expensive suburbs.
