After sacking at Nation for criticizing Uhuru’s Government, Dennis Galava lands plum job at Standard

Former senior Nation journalist Denis Galava is back in the industry.
Dennis Galava was unceremoniously and sensationally fired from his job at Nation Media Group early this year. He was fired over allegations of flouting rules on writing editorials at the Newspaper.
This was however, seen as punishment to Galava for writing a scathing critique of Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
At Nation, Dennis Galava was the special projects editor and had also worked as the Managing Editor of Saturday Nation where he is credited with turning around the Saturday’s edition fortunes especially with the introduction of the agribusiness segment Seeds of Gold.
Nation’s loss seems to be Standard’s gain as Dennis has been appointed to the prestigious role of Managing Editor Standard Weekend editions.
He is set to start his work next week where he wll be joining his former boss from Nation Joseph Odindo. He replaces Enoch Wambua who is set to join politics as he views for the Kitui County Senate seat.
Standard also offered a home to celebrated cartoonist Godfrey Mwapembwa known by his pen name GADO.

Dennis still has a compensation case against Nation Media Group where he is seeking over 400 million in damages.
