A Sign Of End Times? Government Registers Godless Society
Christians need to sit down and pray harder. It seems even as various evangelicals and prophets urge for national repentance it hardly sinks to the masses who either do not care about it or are busy trying to survive a day at a time.
Yesterday marked a mile stone to a group of people in the country who do not believe in a deity, the atheists. They successfully got their society registered. This is a group of people who are firstly opposed to the teaching of religious education in school and also want most of the debate in the country debated without the basing on religious texts arguing Kenyan is a secular state.
The Attorney General’s office presented the Atheists in Kenya society with its certificate signed 17th of February. The president of the society, Harrison Mumia said the move is historic in both Kenya and Africa at large saying “Laws, regulations and institutions should not discriminate against atheists or seen to favour certain religious positions, groups or activities,”
In a highly conservative country this move is likely to see future confrontations given that the two large religious organizations in the organization always dominate public and official debates. Pray Christians pray.
