Kenyans are angry with Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers who shot dead a lion that strayed in Isinya. Apparently the lion was called Mohawk and was the King of Nairobi National Park. KWS rangers used live ammunition to kill the 13-year-old lion instead of using tranquilizer to pacify the lion and capture it. Conspiracy theorists claim land grabbers are colluding with rogue rangers to let loose lions to scare residents in the hope that demonstrations would be organized to protest against Nairobi National Park’s inability to handle wild animals. The idea is to get the 117km sq park to be shut and its land which is valued at Kes 1.5 trillion to be sold.
