Anne Kansiime Distances Herself From President Museveni As Besigye’s Calls For Boycott Hits Artists Hard

Ugandan opposition called on their massive supporters to boycott all entities associated with the ruling regime. And the aftermath is visible!

President Museveni bullied his way to victory in the just concluded Ugandan presidential elections. Kizza Besigye’s Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has resorted to using boycotts to frustrate the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) and all entities associated with them.

Ugandan comedian, Anne Kansiime has since distanced herself from President Museveni as FDC’s calls for boycott hits pro-Museveni artists hard.

Kansiime, Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, Juliana Kanyomozi among other heavyweights turned up at Speke Resort Munyonyo on October 16th 2015 to attend the launch of ‘Tubonga Naawe’, President Museveni’s re-election theme song.

In an interview with NTV Uganda yesterday, Anne Kansiime distanced herself from President Museveni saying she doesn’t take political sides.

“I don’t belong to NRM or FDC. I don’t take political sides,” Kansiime was quoted as saying.
