After Cracking Us With “Matapaka” Member Of Parliament To Be Arraigned In Court Alongside Accomplice Ms Bardi. Details
The “matapaka” finally got owned. Never before in the history of politics has a simple phrase gone so viral. A few months ago member of parliament Alfred Keter and his accomplice, Ms Sonia Birdi found themselves on the limelight on grounds of impunity after an altercation with officers at Gilgil weigh Bridge where the two had gone to demand the release of a truck belonging to the nominated member of parliament.
Just when we thought that the “Matapakas” had gone scot free, Keriako Tobiko directed the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to proceed and charge the two for breaching Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and the Provisions of the Ethics and Integrity Act 2013.
President Uhuru Kenyatta gave the EACC 60 days to prosecute the cases and ordered public officials mentioned to step aside whilst investigations continued.
Justice is Served.
