Jose Chameloene Gets Mammoth Deal With BBC For Promotion
Africa’s best songwriter going by last years AFRIMMA awards Jose Chameleone seems to be picking up where he left last year in terms of sell out shows, hit songs, collaborations and most importantly, more business deals.
It is still the second month of the year but the Icon has already had a number of shows in Kenya and Uganda. The biggest highlight however has to be his mega deal with BBC.
The deal with BBC runs for five years and sees the artist become some sort of ambassador for the British broadcaster. He is expected to promote the media house in his interviews, performances and on social media.
The broadcaster on the other hand will be promoting his music across their platforms. Details of the sums of money involved are yet to be made public.
However, it is a good deal that guarantees him exposure akin to what Mutichoice had with Tanzanian superstar, Diamond Platinumz. It appears Kenya lags behind in the business side of music or just does not have anyone to work with.
