Thursday Nite Live is proud to feature Ugandan Saxophonist Brian Seremba on May 2nd 2013. Below is his profile

Brian Mugenyi Seremba is a Ugandan and is arguably one of the best Saxophonist in Uganda. He played with code 9 band which was one of the Uganda’s strongest live outfits. He is also a pianist and vocalist. Brian’s instrumental skills started in church but he took it to the professional level when he enrolled at Africa Institute of Music (AIM) in Uganda from where he is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Music, majoring in Classical piano. Brian started playing the Sax in 2008, but has had a piano background since the age of 10.

He featured on a couple of songs including Benon Mugumbya’s “Because of you” , Angella Kalule’s latest album and also has performed with established local Artists like Maurice Kirya, Benon Mugumbya, Jamal, Radio and Weasle, Irene Namubiru, Bebe Cool, Grace Nakimera, among a list of many others.

The 25 year old artist has worked with great instrumentalists and Jazz artists like Tshaka Mayanja AKA TSBR, Pragmo Nsaiga, Qwela band, Michael Ouma and several others. Already, his single ‘Sweet home’ and a redo of Radio and Weasle’s ‘kuku’ are getting airplay and the artist is embarking on completing his forthcoming album at Swangz Avenue and Black Smith Records with some of the greatest artists and instrumentalist from East Africa.
