Bogonko Bosire’s Parents Appeal For Help Retrieving Their Son

Days turned to weeks and those graduated to months. And still, months on, Bogonko Bosire is still missing -gone without a trace. The occurrences surrounding his unexplained departure to destinations unknown would make the screen play to what might even become an academy award favourite!

Bogonko was best described by two words, controversial and intelligent. I spoke to his journalist peers who agreed that indeed, he was topnotch. He was what could be described as grade A1 journalistic material. He would find leads and follow them through to the end. He was however a very polarizing figure. You would either love him or hate him. There were no moderates with this lad.

And when I met him and we were surrounded by his peers, the respect they felt for him as a professional was palpable. Even amongst those that didn’t like him. And then like a column of smoke, he vanished.

It has been a number of months since he was last sighted and when I saw that his parents had begun asking for assistance to locate him, I decided to post about it. This is what they ( Mr David Bosire and his wife Esther) had to say:

“He always assured us that he was safe and when we could not reach him on his phone after the Westgate terror attack, we got worried. We reported the matter to the police but six months down the line nothing has been heard from him or about his whereabouts. We even put up radio advertisements in several stations but no information has been forthcoming”

I hope against all hope that he is found safe and sound.
