This will be the Biggest Assembly of Acclaimed Kenyan Artistes outside Kenyan Soil
Other than the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, the Kanga and Kikoi Couture Extravaganza Night this weekend is the only other event that will attract the biggest number of celebrated Kenyan artistes under one roof, all of them performing, outside the country.
On Saturday 12th, Kenyans living in Atlanta will get a chance to be entertained by their very own artistes from motherland at the Kennesaw State University.
The line-up of the artistes includes;
Eric Wainana: winner of the Jack Maher Award for his exceptional performance as a songwriter and received the South African MNET Award for favourite male vocalist. He was one of the first Kenyans to receive an award for Best East African Artist at the Kora All Africa Music Awards in 2002. He has produced film music, music theater plays and musicals.
K-Nel: Performer Artist and Designer featuring the “Anglohili” brand.
Sarah Odingo: Fashion Design and Artist Producer of the Kanga and Kikoi C outure Show Bonanza
Mandela the drummer and his Band- Drummer Extrodinaire
Atemi Oyungu: Vocal artiste, budding pianist, teacher
Chris Adwar: Music Producer, Singer/ Songwriter/ and Front man for the band The Villagers Band as well as a solo performer.
Nyambane: comedian, actor and mock singer.
Iddi Achieng’: accomplished, multi-talented musician, screen, audio and stage actress and sociologist and executive director of the Iddi Achieng Trust.
Linda Muthama: celebrity singer
