And Now ICC Judge Declares Those Leaking Witness Identity Will Be Prosecuted!

Few hours ago, the presiding judge at ICC, Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji, has declared that the court will prosecute individuals who are leaking the identities of key witnesses in the case which involves Kenyan Deputy President and his co-accused, former radio journalist, Joshua Sang.

“’Let me warn everybody; be it a blogger, journalist or whoever intimidating witnesses. We will prosecute them”, Judge Osuji sternly asserted.

He added that revelation of the identity of witnesses amounts to an offence and contempt of Court, according to Article 21 of the Rome Statute.

“Members of the Press, media members, bloggers and journalists should desist from doing anything that will reveal the identity of witnesses,” added Judge Osuji.

This means that individuals revealed the identity of PW536 last evening might face a jail term.
