Electrique DJs & The Beat Parade Band to Host the Taste Awards Afterparty

The fantastic DJ Cortega, Electrique DJ’s & The Beat Parade Band are set to host the Taste Awards and After party at the Karura Forest on Thursday, 31st January.

Pioneers in a new sub genre of house music, ‘Rumba House’, the Electrique DJs are fast becoming the signature in Afro Beat/Tribal House music in East Africa, working in tandem with The Beat Parade Band, a troupe of percussionists, vocalists and instrumentalists that utilise African tribal instruments to create a sound that is organic and layered with a heavy, synthesized house beat.

The second edition of the Taste Bar & Restaurant Awards in partnership with international beer brand Heineken is the most anticipated event in the bar and restaurant calendar. 2011’s sold out event at the Tribe Hotel saw restaurateurs, bar owners, hospitality industry experts and personas of note in attendance for an evening of good food, serious cocktails and entertainment.

This year more than 100 establishments have been nominated in the upcoming awards, a reflection of the diversity of our vibrant industry. As with the inaugural awards in 2011, the public will have their chance to vote online through the http://awards.co.ke portal for their favorite outlets in the People’s Choice categories.
