With Elani Broke &H_Art The Band Dormant, Here Is A New Band To Savor (

There is something strange about the fate of Kenyan bands. They come all sweet sounding super talented and then fade off after having us hooked to their tunes and sounds.

Just a Band have become ‘specialized’ to a certain community and only reappear to tease us with a song then disappear. Sauti Sol are too experimental nowadays its hard to play their new album without pressing skip, Elani, well MCSK happened and the other new kids H_Art the band are just not so dependable nowadays doing more of wishing other people birthdays than singing new songs (sadly).

Given such a life span you can be forgiven when you do not warm up to a new band enthusiastically. However, I would say do the contrary for they may not be here for long and that should be how you approach new kids on the block the all boys band Third Hand Music.

The trio is made up of Ikole Mwikamba Chore, Collins Collo Kemboi and Ken Albert Okwara.They three have a song out ‘Helena’ and it is just as good music should be.

Gripping you first with the intensity of its smoothness and its striking purity. Collo Kemboi has one hell of a golden voice and is those singers you look forward to hit the high notes. The guitar is prominent and the video is so simple you hardly have any distractions; just amazing music.

Why this song has not become the rave that Dela’s Hello became I do not know for it is a richer song in depth, great song writing skills and well, just listen to it, and share…this is an amazing song.
