“Maina Kageni I Need My Money Back, You Made Me Buy This Land.” Angry Man Decries After Land Maina Allegedly Made Him Buy Is Repossessed For Being Illegal

Man claiming Classic FM’s Maina Kageni made him buy an illegal land is demanding compensation from the popular presenter.

The government has revoked the ownership of more than 350,000 acres of land in Lamu County that it says was acquired illegally.

On Tuesday, Land Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi told the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) that among the revoked documents were title deeds for 12 parcels whose notice of revocation had expired.

One Mr. Mbiyu claims Maina Kageni made him buy land that the government had repossessed.

“I understand that Lamu Port View is part of those whose titles have been cancelled. We need to be compensated. Maina Kageni I need my money back, you made me buy this land.” Wrote Mbiyu.

Ghafla! contacted Maina Kageni to seek clarification on this Lamu land issue. The Classic FM presenter says the only parcel of land he advertised belonged to Stima Sacco adding that he personally bought 5 acres which he still owns up to now.

Maina challenged us to ask Mr. Mbiyu for documentation to prove his claim.
