Court Makes Robert Alai Part With Kes 30,000 For Committing An Uproarious Sin… And He’s Not Off The Hook Yet
Controversial blogger Robert Alai has paid dearly and he’s still to pay more, for ‘spitting’ on the nation’s integrity.
When you say the man tasked with keeping corruption at bay in Kenya acquired University degree through fraudulent means, then what you are implying is that a phony is leading EACC. And this didn’t go down well with Mr. Halakhe Waqo.
A while back, Robert Alai alleged Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) boss, Halakhe Waqo, had a fake degree from University of Nairobi which he used to get his lucrative job.
Of course Mr. Waqo rushed to court to defend his integrity and make Alai pay for daring say he was just another fraudster.
Yesterday, the problematic blogger was charged in court for posting an offensive message on Twitter against the EACC chief.
Alai was released on a cash bail of Kes 30,000 pending the hearing of the case on March 16. And if the court finds him guilty of the charge, then the blogger will have to part with not less than Kes 50,000 less he wants to spend time in prison.
