Sauti Sol are still off the fresh launch of their album yet they are giving us plenty to savor on in the mean time.

The video for Live and Die in Afrika is such an example. It is the album’s title song and it truly delivers. Ok, personally, I think they could have done more lyrically, but what the heck, if you are going to celebrate Afrika you don’t do it deep like a Buddhist monk, you just go wild and varied like the continent and have that feel good vibe.

What kills it about this song is the video and the beat.

Sure the album has quite a selection of beats sampling some of the best African sounds but you will be hard pressed to find a song that has such a fine balance between party tunes and soulful tones.
