Update on Nairobi Half Star’s Hacked Facebook. Cyber-Criminal Still on the Loose

Yesterday, the Facebook account of Nairobi Half Life actor and Kalasha Award nominee for his role as Oti in the same film, Maina Olwenya, was hacked by an unknown individual.

By the time Maina Olwenya had been alerted on the infringement, the user had posted status updates asking for money to be sent to the phone number 0700 391 964. Two people had already sent cash before the actor could get the word out.

Last evening, Maina Olwenya regained control of his Facebook and managed to retrieve everything on his profile. The money that was deposited in the aforementioned number’s M-Pesa was withdrawn in Ngara using an unregistered number. The issue is currently being investigated by the CID.
