Nairobi Half Life Director Interviewed on a Top American Station

Nairobi Half Life brought excitement in the cinema circuit holding its own against international films showing locally. One of the few Kenyan films that have spread out through the continent and beyond, enjoying a whole month of screenings throughout Germany.

The film has also toured the International film circuit including the AFI Festival where it picked up an audience award, just as it did at the Film Africa Festival in London that same week.

Now, Nairobi Half Life has also been featured on one of the top radio stations in the U.S., National Public Radio, popularly known as NPR. The interview with the director, Tosh Gitonga, was published on the Art & Life section of the station’s site. You can listen to NPR’s John Burnett interviewing Tosh Gitonga, where he talks about crime in Nairobi and how it inspired how he approached the film here.
