After Being Sacked At K24 Renowned Anchor Heads To KTN

Two weeks ago, Mediamax Network Limited’s did the unfathomable. The Uhuru Kenyatta-owned media house sacked at least 70 scribes among them well-known journalists drawn from its broadcast section.

Among those who were affected is Ann Ngugi. However, as luck would have it, the distinguished Kiswahili news anchor is headed back to KTN, after walking away few months ago when K24 dangled the carrot.

According to classified information, Ngugi, who is expectant, will be unveiled very soon at the Mombasa Road-based media giant.

Anne Ngugi

This is not the first time that KTN under the stewardship of Sam Shollei has received back some its ‘prodigal sons’ with pundits arguing that he is the best CEO KTN has ever had. In November last year, John Allan Namu and Mohammed Ali headed back to KTN after previously decamping to NTV.

Ghafla! wishes Ann Ngugi all the best as she takes up her position at KTN.
