After Proposing to His Girlfriend on Live TV SlimPossible Finalist Faces Arrest After Assaulting His ‘Wife’

Last Friday saw the culmination of SlimPossible show on Citizen TV. The highly watched could not end without some sideshows. Before the crowning of the winner of this year’s weight loss show, one finalist, Levy Kones, went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend, Eunice Wangechi.

His gesture was greatly especially by women who insisted that Levy is the epitome of a real gentleman. However, an Eldoret court threatens to overshadow the joy. For Levy it seems it will be a short-lived joy as he faces arrest over assault charges.

Daily Nation reports that an Eldoret court on Monday allegedly issued an arrest warrant Levy after he was charged with assaulting his wife. Levy, a participant on the just-concluded SlimPossible Season Four contest on Citizen TV is accused of assaulting his wife on the eve of Mashujaa Day at home over domestic disagreements.

Magistrate Mary W. Njagi said the accused failed to appear in the Eldoret court in person as the charges were read out.

She said it was contrary to law for an accused not to appear in Court for the mention of a case, hence the issuance of the warrant of arrest for Levy.

According to the charge sheet, Faustine Naibei, the wife of Levy and a resident of Action estate in the outskirts of Eldoret sustained tenderness on her right eyebrow, neck and both thighs.

Levy had previously been released on bond.
