Kenya’s Leading Record Label Acquires Popular Tanzanian Gossip Magazine

Ghafla! has exclusively learnt that Candy n Candy Records’ CEO, Joe Kariuki, is the new owner of leading and popular Tanzanian gossip magazine, BaabKubwa.

Baabkubwa is a bi-monthly magazine, publishing entertainment information from Tanzania with a touch of international content from Kenya, Uganda, U.S, and U.K and offers entertainment information in all areas such as music, beauty, style, dance and film.

Since its launch, BaabKubwa has risen to become one of the sassiest magazine delivering the juiciest celebrity gossip. With an online presence, Baab Kubwa‘s blog is the go-to source for daily celebrity news in Bongo. The paper was voted the Best and 2nd Most selling Magazine in Tanzania-Steadman Report 2009.

Joe says that he to give the magazine a Kenyan-touch. “In fact, we are officially launching BaabKubwa into the Kenyan market on Friday”, reveals Joe adding, “We are adding four more pages to cater for the Kenyan audience.”

The first copies of BaabKubwa will hit the streets on Nairobiu and Mombasa this Friday. Readers will receive free mixtapes from the record label.
