Exclusive: Kenya’s First Sexy Video Vixen & Socialite Speaks Out for the First Time in 2 Years; Hits Out at Current Crop of Socialites

Juliet Kwamboka, fondly known as Toxic, popular for gyrating in tantalizing outfits and everything her mama gave her she knew how to shake it in music videos at a time when the entertainment industry was still fledgling, making her the most sought after video vixen.

However, Toxic fizzled out of the showbiz scene never to be heard of two years down the line. Nonetheless, trust yours truly for unearthing where the famous dancer-turned-singer has been hiding at. Last evening, Toxic exclusively spoke to Ghafla! from her UK home and revealed that she’s about to make a rousing comeback in showbiz.

Here’s that interview;

Gh!: Hi Toxic. Where have you been? Are you around?

Toxic: No. LOL. Still in UK. Moved here from Germany in November last year.

Gh!: Are you ready for the limelight again?

Toxic: Hahaha! Not really. I got to sort out my life, my child and family. Anyhow, they said I disappeared after I came abroad. I’m just taking time off to grow personally and take care of my family as I also plan our future.

Gh!: Are you getting back to music? Or dancing for that matter?

Toxic: Well, to be honest, dancing has taken a back seat. You know after I had my son in Germany and moved to England and started a life here plus motherhood it isn’t that easy. Not to forget my son had a heart surgery earlier this year and that kind of had me very much occupied. It was a trying time for me but I’m glad my family was with me during that period. I couldn’t have done it without them.

Gh!: Speaking of the surgery, how is baby Aiden doing now?

Toxic: He’s great. Doing so well. I’m so happy I don’t need to keep waking up in the middle of the night to check if he’s breathing okay. That was so traumatic for me, but my hope was in the Lord; He saw me through the most trying time.

Gh!: It’s been alleged that your husband is the son of an influential and powerful individual in Kenya. Mind shading some light on this?

Toxic: LOL! Leave him out of this. Tukija Kenya utamuuliza mwenyewe.

Gh!: So, is the Toxic brand dead? You seem to have dropped the name on Social Media and opted for your Government name.

Toxic: Hahaha! I needed some time, some privacy. So it’s not dead. I’m just taking time off. I have to grow as a woman and that requires to get away from certain things, reflect on my life and plan my future. I’m a parent now and responsible for someone else’s life and Aiden comes first.

Gh!: So we should expect a better and improved Toxic doing some professional dancing and singing as opposed to the old Toxic?

Toxic: Well, I hope so. I haven’t made up my mind whether or not to pick up where I left off. But if I do, definitely it will be an improved me; a grown and wiser woman.

Gh!: Back to matters family: six months after baby Aiden arrived, you posted on FB that you can’t wait to have another baby. When is baby #2 coming?

Toxic: Haha! Every mother wishes for children, but not now; my husband and I agreed later, not soon.

Gh!: So, what do you do in UK? Careerwise?

Toxic: I work from home; selling apparel to ladies back home. But I’ll be going back to school to further my sales and marketing experience.

Gh!: So much has happened in the Kenyan showbiz since you left. What plans do you have of fitting in?

Toxic: Haha! I don’t plan to fit in; I will definitely stand out. Always have and always will. I just being abroad doesn’t mean I’m out of touch.

Gh!: What do you think about the new breed of ‘socialites’ in Kenyan showbiz?

Toxic: Pahahahaha! I won’t comment, but they should probably start a show called “The Real Socialites of Nairobi”. Too funny.

Gh!: Parting shot?

Toxic: (Quotes Keyshia Cole) “Never waste your time trying to explain who you are to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.”

It’s a wrap!
