Comedian Awinja Clears the Air about His Exit from Q FM

A couple of days ago, we told you that celebrated radio host Cleopas Awinja aka JPT is no longer at Q FM. Since then speculation has been flying around over what led to his departure with some facing him with unending questions on social media.

Earlier today, Awinja (real name Kazungu Matano) cleared the air about his exit from Q FM when his career was at its peak. He confirms that he has indeed left the Swahili radio station but maintains that he’s still with NTV.

Here’s his post;

“Let me personally clear the air.
Yes it’s TRUE that I’ve left QFM, however, i am still @NTV and will NOT be leaving anytime soon.
It’s been overwhelming responding to hundreds in person. If and when I’ll have new/more info to share, I will do it here and in other public platform’s as I’ve realised that mine is a public service and to the public i owe explanations (when stuff that affect our interactivity arise)
Thank you for your support for the six years we shared.
