CABU GAH DIARIES: Get Well Soon My Good Friend And Nairobi’s Most Fashionable Young Man,Kaweru Dennis.(WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

One of Nairobi’s most fashionable young Men,Dennis Kaweru,formerly known as Dennis Triple Distilled Kaweru on Facebook,is admitted in hospital. He was admitted after being involved in a freak car accident on Garissa Road,Near  Matuu,Wednesday afternoon.

Dennis Kaweru is quite a known figure around Nairobi’s Fashion circles. His sharp suits,impeccable dressing style,stylish demeanor and chic elegance has made him quite a prominent figure in Nairobi’s fashion circles.

He has also managed to not only set up but also run a fashion house called LA GIACCA that specializes in branded suits,blazers and shoes meant for middle-class Nairobi working-class gents. He has actually dressed me severally for a couple TV shows I have been in and also for venue appearances.

Kaweru,who is a former banker,actually quit his banking career to concentrate on his fashion line,La Giacca which,until he had an accident,he had been zealously working at.

Kaweru had an accident Wednesday afternoon at around 15:00pm around Matuu on Garissa Road.

And Yesterday,I and a colleague,Tonny Ndung’u,visited Dennis Kaweru at LANDNAN HOSPITAL,Pangani where we met him on the bed…surrounded by his girlfriend-and possible fiancé-Waridi and his two sisters.

Kaweru,after the freak accident,which made his car roll 3 times and be flung across the air,was then rushed to a Thika Hospital from where he was transferred to LANDNAN HOSPITAL by his girlfriend,Waridi.

Kaweru suffered injuries to his jaw,which actually broke. He also sustained visible injuries on his face which was swollen to a puff. His right eye was also heavily swollen too by the time we arrived.

But,generally,he was doing fie and even managed to crack quite a number of jokes with us despite the fact that he has been scheduled for a major jaw surgery today which will confine his jaws to a network of metal shafts for a whole 6 months. Kaweru is requesting for our prayers and continued support. And we shall continue to provide that till he heals completely and gets back on his feet again.
