Kiambu MCA Samuel Gitau has finally been found following intense searching after he went missing a week ago from his residence in Juja.

The MCA was reported missing when he failed to return home after he had left to withdraw cash from an ATM in Juja town.

Police and locals started a thorough search through the thickets and coffee plantations in the area but could not trace him anywhere.

And as agony kept engulfing his family, Gitau has been found in Nakuru after a week of immense searching. Police have been following necessary leads that helped them to trace Gitau.

The MCA is said to have been found near Kinungi area. along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway and told police that he had been in a car boot all along and managed to rescue himself. Police are, however, said not to believe his story and are waiting his discharge from Agha Khan hospital where he has been rushed to for treatment.

A farmer, Patrick Mugo, told the police he and other locals found Gitau on the roadside, staggering and took him to his house before they alerted police.

Gitau went missing on March 8 after he left to withdraw cash in nearby ATM in Juja town never to return back. His saloon car was found parked outside his residential gate with lights and the engine on.
